Giftable Clay Objects Workshop | Nov. 1
Giftable Clay Objects Workshop | Nov. 1
November 1 | Saturday | 11 am - 3 pm | Pound Ridge, NY
Create small sculptural works in clay; functional or decorative.
This workshop is centered around making by hand, with gifting (or personal use) in mind. You'll be guided through a selection of small-scale forms; ie. mini lanterns, incense holders, bud vases, bells, and more. While learning foundational hand-building techniques using coils, slabs and basic sculpting tools. Texture, cutouts, and attachments can be added to personalize each piece.
Each participant will make up to 4 to 6 small pieces. The focus will be on thoughtful, contained works that can fit comfortably in the hands; ideal for sharing, displaying, or keeping close.
After your pieces have dried and gone through a bisque firing, they will be glazed and fired. Finished pieces will be ready for pick-up at a later date, with delivery available for an additional fee.
Light lunch and refreshments provided.
